🤝 In a significant step toward engaging the #altprotein ecosystem, ATCC is collaborating with GFI to accelerate the research, characterization, and safe commercial use of food-relevant biological materials currently available at ATCC. Efforts to develop and commercialize #alternativeproteins produced from plant or animal cells or by fermentation are accelerating, but sourcing high-quality biological materials for research remains difficult. Learn more about ATCC's biological resources → https://bit.ly/3QnuBHG To solve for this industry challenge, ATCC—the world’s premier biological resource center providing scientists with essential biomaterials, standards, and protocols—will work with GFI to identify end users, food-relevant attributes, and data to optimize the utilization of the ATCC collection for the alternative protein and fats industries. Collaboration is essential for innovative research that leads to groundbreaking discoveries and results, which is why it's exciting to see ATCC and GFI working together to develop more sustainable alternative proteins and build a better food future that benefits the planet, people, and animals.
