Health knows no borders. World health is critical and every day, ATCC’s International Reagent Resource Program (IRR) plays an important role in the fight against infectious diseases. The IRR Program exemplifies international cooperation, resilience, and dedication to global health and has had an impact in 4 key areas: Global Surveillance: The IRR ensures that public health facilities, research institutions, and life science companies have swift access to critical reagents. This accelerates surveillance efforts, allowing us to stay ahead of potential threats. The IRR provides 140+ panels, kits, and assays for surveillance to labs in over 190 countries. Pandemic Preparedness: The IRR’s focus on influenza, measles, coronavirus, diphtheria and other agents with epidemic/pandemic potential is crucial. By coordinating response efforts in these areas, we enhance the ability to develop vaccines, diagnostics, and treatments. Emergency Response: When a new pathogen emerges, time is of the essence. The IRR’s rapid distribution of reagents and surveillance kits enables swift response during outbreaks. Collaboration: ATCC’s collaboration with the CDC through the IRR Program fosters a global network of experts, sharing knowledge and advancing research. Learn more: https://ow.ly/5x5K50RhwOh
